Izstāde „Ne visi tiks uzņemti nākotnē”

On September 5th the exhibition of the artworks by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov called “Not Everyone Will Be Taken into the Future” opened a new season at Tretyakov Gallery. Legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT was the partner of the opening of the exhibition.

The exhibition is an important international cross-museum project, which Tretyakov gallery brought to life together with Tate Modern and the State Hermitage Museum. Earlier the project was introduced in London and St. Petersburg.

The name of the exhibition “Not Everyone Will Be Taken into the Future” is taken from one of the most important installations, which has a central role in the exposition. It includes the artworks that cover the period of almost 60 years starting from the early works before Ilya Kabakov’s departure from USSR to large-scale installations, paintings, graphic pieces, miniature models created in the recent years. Special for this exhibition the museum has provided the largest exhibition halls of the building on Krymsky Val.

Among the guests of the exhibition were Aliona Doletskaya, Pyotr Aven, Zurab and Vasily Tsereteli as well as chief editors of leading media and prominent representatives of culture such as Maria Fedorova, Natalia Shkuleva, Olga Sviblova and others.

At the inner yard of the museum the guests could share their impressions from the exhibition and enjoy 6-year-old ARARAT Ani brandy as well as exquisite cocktails Backstage, Cascade and Cherry Orchard made on the base of ARARAT, while the unusual serving of the legendary brandy highlighted the connection of traditions and new forms in art.
